One-to-One Career Coaching

This is career coaching with a purpose – to help the individual understand what they are, what they want, and then package them to get there!
Typically there are primarily three identified needs:
- Individuals who are defined as ‘top talent’ and are looking for their next move within the organisational context. The process here is often in partnership with internal HR who act to manage the bridge to identify relevant internal resources/opportunities.
- Individuals who have been loyal to the business but are now badly positioned to progress further within the business. Typically senior, these individuals now need to relocate their careers without the embarrassment associated with the usual outplacement or internal course offerings. In some cases, we need to go a stage back so they understand that the business no longer suits their needs.
- Individuals who have lost their motivation and passion for the business. Still seen as an asset to the business, but have simply run out of psychological steam to fulfil their potential and the needs of the business. Our role here is to re-motivate the individual through self-understanding and unblocking psychological barriers to success. There is also usually a role for very direct feedback as well as the expected coaching format.
Our Methodology
One size does not fit all career coaching needs! We have no fixed formula but do have understanding and a plethora of tools available to get the participant where they need to be. We also now have a significant understanding of different business cultures and working styles. Remember, these are typically quite senior members of staff and, as such, also usually have discrete needs. An example of the career coaching tools and possible needs are provided below.
